Global Choreographers online program trains body based artists to expand their choreographic practice. Through sharing of different tools and methods of work, participants will be able to enrich their artistic processes, connect with international dance approaches and expand their personal approach on dance making.
The international dance community is growing at a rapid rate; with the advances in technology, we can support as well as learn from each other from a distance. This online course is designed to expand your current knowledge in performance making while at the same time guide you in defining your unique artistic voice and values.
Global Choreographers is the beginning of a new international community, building and sharing dance works to a greater audience.
Facilitators
The facilitators of this course is a dynamic duo that combined has more than 30 years experience in theatre, dance, choreography and teaching. While completing their respective M.F.A degrees at the University of California (UCLA) they formed a strong connection. Their desire to link global dance makers created these online education courses. Dancers are being born everyday and with them the opportunity for storytelling and cultural representation expands. This is a unique moment that allows for new connections through the art of choreography; from Greece to Namibia to the US and beyond. This is an exciting time for participants to showcase their art to an international community and to reach new audiences. Both facilitators are active artists, passionate about sharing their knowledge with new body based artist and supporting in creating a unique creative community.
